DEMI Container Services bv was founded in 1996 in Heinenoord, Netherlands. DEMI offers repair, modification, inspection and refurbishment of intermodal ISO tank containers, and small portable tanks of all sizes. These transport assets serve the needs of global producers that maintain supply chains in the food & beverage, energy, mining, chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial gases industries. The company operates two facilities, One near Rotterdam in The Netherlands and another in Houston, Texas, USA.

“Anything fitted with a valve” is founder Frans van Zomeren’s description of DEMI’s field of expertise.

DEMI’s personnel have a wide and extensive knowledge of tank container repair methods which translates into rapid turnaround time of the customer’s equipment. DEMI is staffed by full-time specialists with many years’ experience in all types of tank containers, including liquid, gas, and cryogenic types, in addition to small portable tanks. The company services companies throughout the world, from multinational chemical and energy concerns, food and beverage companies, worldwide leasing companies, tank operators and other businesses.

DEMI’s facilities have had extensive and recent investments in new workshops, cleaning bays, offices and renewable energy capture. All designed to meet our customers’ high-quality standards and provide superior service.

For our clients, DEMI delivers faster turnaround and delivery times for their containers, reducing supply chain disruption and enhancing their tank container fleet efficiency. Reducing time at DEMI’s depots and therefore reducing storage costs.  DEMI has made significant investments to increase the efficiency of container movement within the facilities. Several different container lifts have been incorporated to reduce the time needed to move the containers from one station to another within the facilities.

DEMI has plans for expansion and extension of this business model in the future. Facilities in the Middle East and Asia Pacific are part of the strategic plan. The issues impacting tank container service facilities in North America and Europe are part of a global challenge and the markets in the Middle East and Asia are no different.
